Whilst we were given free reign, the client delivered a clear brief as he wanted a functional, fun, and colourful space which could enable guests to hang out comfortably while staff members work happily.
We are proud of the fresh dynamic created through the fun colour combinations and light fixtures, whilst the furniture, which includes an iconic glass and metal gate partition, was all tailormade to fit the space. The striking gate – using metal and colour class, separates the main area from the tourist information where additional services can be booked.
The hotel’s target audience is fun and hip; the client therefore asked that we refurbish the reception into a vibrant hub.
The fresh environment was created with the playful use of bright colours – mustard and blue. Nonetheless, the space is functional whilst certain elements, such as the benches offer comfort without occupying too much space. The area is spacious enough to host several hotel guests at any one time, whilst the clever layout allows for a multitude of functions to take place concurrently.
Based on international hospitality standards, the new hotel design is modern, fresh and simple – with no added frills. With the target audience in mind, the reception space sets the right tone for the rest of the hotel, and hopefully the guest’s trip – a fun, straightforward adventure in sunny Malta.
